As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers and responsible for accurately processing transactions, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a tidy and organized cashier station. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Must be 21 years of age or older
Cash Handling: Accurately and efficiently handle cash, credit cards, checks, and other payment methods for customer purchases.
Customer Service: Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service to customers by answering questions, resolving issues, and offering assistance with purchases.
Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Operate cash registers, barcode scanners, and other POS equipment to process sales transactions and ensure pricing accuracy.
Bagging and Packaging: Safely and neatly bag items, providing customers with a pleasant and convenient shopping experience.
Returns and Exchanges: Process returns, exchanges, and refunds following company policies and procedures.
Cash Register Reconciliation: Balance cash registers at the end of each shift and report discrepancies or issues to management.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about current promotions, sales, and product information to assist customers effectively.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the cashier station and surrounding areas clean, organized, and free of clutter.
Loss Prevention: Be vigilant in preventing theft or fraudulent activities and report any suspicious behavior to security or management.
• Proven experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Previous experience using electronic cash registers or POS systems
• Knowledge of retail policies and procedures
• Cash handling certification (if applicable)
